Accessibility.
How we make this website usable for everyone, where we know it falls short, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
Our goal
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom, or reduced-motion settings. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- A “Skip to content” link and a visible focus outline for keyboard users
- Text and controls checked for color contrast on both the light and dark sections
- Labelled form fields, with errors announced to screen readers
- A menu that keeps keyboard focus inside it while open and closes with the Escape key
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers
- Animations, smooth scrolling, and the logo motion turn off when your device is set to reduce motion
Known limitations
- Some decorative animations (the scrolling brand banner, the background glow, the logo bounce, and the auto-scrolling project previews) keep moving unless your device is set to reduce motion. There is not yet an on-page control to pause them.
- On small screens, for a short stretch of scrolling where the page switches from light to dark, the header can briefly sit over a light background.
